15th Dutch European Grand Prix (July 26th-29th 2024 - Vreeland)
Contact Jan de Graaf at jan.de.graaf@othello.nl or +31(0)6-10776328 for information you can't find below.
We'd like to invite you to this extraordinary edition of the Dutch EGP.
What makes it extraordinary?
You will feel like being at a resort.
It will feel like a short holiday.
Starting friday 15:00, you will immediately come to ease, knowing a good healthy dinner will be made for you around 18:30.
![](dinner0.jpg)
While waiting for dinner you can simply relax or walk in the serene surroundings.
![](surrounding.jpg)
After dinner, we ask a few of you to help cleaning up.
In the evening, we can all relax, chat, play games (Othello allowed) or walk in the surroundings.
After a nice evening it's time to go to bed in one of the clean and comfortable rooms.

The next morning (08:00-09:00) a fine breakfast is awaiting you.
The tournament starts at 10:00.
![](acc2.jpg)
During the tournament drinks and a few snacks are free.
Around noon you'll be offered a complete lunch.
After the 7th round and a short break, another great dinner will be served.
![](dinner1.jpg)
After the Saturday dinner, we have the same routine as on friday.
Sunday morning, breakfast will be ready for you to make sure you have a good start for the 2nd tournament day.
After the 11th round, we'll have lunch.
And after the (semi)finals, another good dinner.
Sunday evening is for relaxing, analysing games ;), playing some more games or whatever you feel like doing.
On monday morning, we finish the weekend with a nice breakfast.
All together, this is going to be an EGP to remember!

Location

Left: Schiphol airport
Upper right: Weesp train station
Lower right: the venue: De Willigen
Middle top: Amsterdam city
Public Transport
The venue is located about five kilometers from train station Weesp.
There are direct trains from Schiphol airport and Amsterdam Central Station to Weesp trainstation.
From Schiphol use the 'sprinter' to Almere Centrum (about 22 mins).
From Amsterdam Central station use the 'sprinter' to Amersfoort Vathorst or Zwolle (about 15 mins).
We offer free pendel services, starting friday 14:30, from Weesp trainstation to the venue. (Please, contact the organisation to make an appointment!).
We very much recommend to make use of this, as there is no suitable busline from the station (there is line 522 but the closest stop to the venue is still about 40 minutes of walking).
Parking
It is possible to park your car for free at the venue.
